A year ago, we wrote a song called "Christine's Words, Soul Upgrade Anthem" for Christine Cheng. Back then, it was simple: we just wanted to turn the words she often says into a song. We never expected it would stay with her this long — surfacing, now and then, at the end of her livestreams.

A Year Later, People Are Still Moved to Tears
Recently, we watched it surface again in one of her livestreams. Almost a year had passed, and there were still people on camera who, listening, felt their eyes well up — some even in tears. A year on, and a single song is still doing that. It moved us. That's how "Not More Perfect, Just More Real" came to be, the second chapter of the Soul Upgrade Anthem series. This time, we wanted to write for the person who's been quietly trying so hard, they forgot to hold themselves first.

From chasing standards and losing yourself, to finally sitting still and facing who you are, to finally being able to say to yourself, "you're already good enough" — this is a path anyone who has ever tried too hard to please the world will recognize. It isn't a song meant to make you cheer or cry. It's meant to let you exhale: you don't have to keep forcing yourself into someone better. You can just come back to who you really are.
